Clostridium difficile Formative Assessment

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

Put your knowledge to the test and see how you stack up relative to your fellow clinicians! Challenge yourself with this self-paced interactive assessment designed to sharpen your knowledge and competency in the diagnosis and management of Clostridium difficile infections.

The epidemiology and incidence of hospital- and community-acquired CDI have changed over the past decade. The selection of initial and sequential therapy must account for indices of disease severity. As such, primary care providers must be familiar with diagnostic parameters, guidelines, and treatment approaches to reduce complications and improve clinical outcomes.

Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
-Outline diagnostic criteria and levels of disease severity for C. diff infection
-Discuss available and emerging pharmacotherapies for C. diff infection
-Evaluate therapeutic interventions for the management of severe-complicated and recurrent C. diff infection
