Overview / Abstract:

L. Clifford McDonald, MD and Carolyn V. Gould, MD of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will discuss the risk and burden of Clostridium difficile infection (CDI), the important role all healthcare professionals play in the prevention of CDI across practice settings, and best practices for preventing CDI.

At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
Describe the epidemiology and burden of Clostridium difficile infection (CDI)
Identify patient populations at risk for CDI
Discuss the role of healthcare professionals and the healthcare system in the prevention of CDI
List core actions all healthcare professionals should implement to prevent CDI
