New Options for Anti-platelet Therapy

Overview / Abstract:

This program is designed to educate pharmacists on newly available antiplatelet therapies (prasugrel, ticagrelor, and vorpaxar). The program will cover the mechanism of action, dosing, contraindications, significant clinical trials, and clinical pearls of these therapies. Upon completion of this CPE program, participants should be able to differentiate between the new antiplatlet agents, identify contraindications for these medications, and list monitoring parameters for patients taking these therapies.
