Overview / Abstract:

This module focuses on high-sensitive c-reactive protein and how it relates to coronary disease.

Objectives. At the conclusion of this course, the participant should be able to:

Discuss why high sensitive CRP (hs-CRP) is a good risk marker for coronary artery disease (CAD).
Explain why it is necessary to have a hs-CRP test, rather than the 'usual' CRP test.
List/Name 3 other cardiac risk markers (markers that appear before an MI).
