Nutrition for Lean Body Mass: What Should I Know to Manage LBM

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

Although lean body mass (LBM) loss occurs progressively throughout life, aging patients and those with acute injury or disease are at greater risk for poor outcomes from this loss. Clinicians across several specialties should be cognizant of the need to identify and manage patients who are at risk for loss of LBM and all have an essential role in promoting the appropriate utilization of nutritional support in patients at all stages of LBM.

"Nutrition for Lean Body Mass" is an important new CME/CE-certified grand rounds program designed to help health care professionals identify methods to diagnose and manage patients at risk for LBM loss.
