World Class CME is again proud to host the annual Fetal and Women’s Imaging conference in Seattle, Washington. Benefit from the newest information in the field of ultrasound and gather the shiniest pearls of wisdom from our expert faculty. For those professionals who need detailed knowledge beyond routine fetal screening, this course teaches imaging during first, second and third trimesters, with an in-depth focus on screening each fetal body system. Many lessons are presented using a practical case-based teaching approach. Common and not so common gynecological imaging scenarios are also covered. This course is designed for physicians and sonographers in the fields of gynecologic and obstetric imaging, as well as residents in obstetrics and gynecology, or radiology, and fellows in maternal-fetal medicine. This course may also be valuable to family physicians practicing obstetrics, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants working in gynecology and obstetrics. Course Objectives Describe the role and essential components of a complete evaluation of the fetal genitourinary system, including disorders of sexual differentiation Distinguish between different types of twinning and develop strategies for identifying twins in need of intervention Incorporate current practice guidelines for fetal anatomic screening, including recent fetal screening modifications for cardiac evaluation Incorporate state-of-the-art practices in prenatal genetic screening and testing, including first trimester anatomy assessment Develop strategies for distinguishing etiologies of linear echogenicity in the gravid uterus Distinguish between different types of fetal lung masses and understand different implications and treatment options for various disorders Improve skills in diagnosis of early pregnancy success and failure with emphasis on avoiding harm to viable desired pregnancies Distinguish critical placental and umbilical cord disorders using ultrasound and MR Distinguish between different types of fetal brain anomalies and understand different implications and prognoses for various disorders Develop strategies for evaluating the uterus and ovaries, including assessment strategies for post-menopausal bleeding and complex adnexal masses Improve 3D ultrasound skills for fetal evaluation Develop strategies for use of cervical assessment and Doppler evaluation in pregnancies at risk for preterm birth Participate in a case-based learning module with audience participation |
