Being held December 3-7, 2017 at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, “National Diagnostic Imaging Symposium” is an annual conference that has built a solid reputation among radiologists for its practical yet forward-thinking curriculum, as well as the high caliber of its faculty. This conference is designed to improve the medical knowledge and skills of community radiologists who are called on to be well-versed in a variety of radiology sub-specialties and body systems. The course will focus on emerging medical techniques, information and technologies, current medicine, as well as review of best practices in the field of radiology. The program features simultaneous presentations covering ten subspecialties including Musculoskeletal Imaging, Breast Imaging, Breast MRI, Gastrointestinal Radiology, Emergency Radiology, Genitourinary Radiology, Cardiovascular Radiology, Chest Radiology, and Neuroradiology. One full day is dedicated to each modality and up to 35 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ are available. Additionally, 26 Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) will be offered. This meeting has also been expanded to serve the needs of certain radiology specialists. We now offer an optional 5-day Breast Imaging track that will allow participants to receive up to 35 breast-imaging specific credits. Optional, no-cost breast imaging workshops you may attend include Fundamentals of Breast Tomosynthesis, Advanced Breast Tomosynthesis, Automated Breast Ultrasound and Opto-acoustics. Course Objectives Utilize CT imaging for both lung screening and lung disease diagnosis Image both upper and lower body musculoskeletal injury using MRI Use MDCT imaging of the pancreas, liver, abdomen and bowel as a diagnostic tool Hone ultrasound skills when conducting gynecological, obstetrical, cardiovascular, venous and thyroid evaluations Design an approach to MRI of genitourinary masses, cancer and infections Improve diagnosis of CT images of multiple specific neurologic medical conditions Apply CT and ultrasound to cardiovascular evaluations Adjust imaging approach to accommodate children in emergency situations Improve assessment of breast disease with the use of MRI, ultrasound, 3D mammography and more |
