To achieve optimal health outcomes, people living with HIV require continuous access to quality care and treatment for HIV as well as for their other health conditions. (Institute of Medicine 2012) However at the same time, it has been documented that there are an insufficient number of health care professionals with the necessary expertise to care for the growing number of individuals living with HIV. |
