Overview / Abstract: |
This course provides healthcare professionals with a foundation of correlative neuro anatomy and physiology as it pertains to the neurological patient and his or her assessment. We will provide an overview of the pathophysiological processes and complications encountered in the neurologic patient. Clinical assessment findings will be discussed, as well as various etiologies that contribute to these conditions. An in-depth review of traumatic brain injuries, strokes and brain tumor will be provided, as well as the treatment modalities for each.
