Overview / Abstract: |
Conference Overview: According to the CDC, while sales of prescription opioids in the United States nearly quadrupled from 1999 to 2014, the overall change in the amount of pain patients reported did not. Furthermore, consensus among clinicians for proper opioid use is lacking. Prescribing rates vary widely across the country in ways that cannot be explained by underlying population health. Pain Management Summit will help address these challenges by bringing you evidence-based, practical approaches to managing chronic pain, from the basic to the advanced. A multidisciplinary team of experts will discuss common pain-related conditions, non-opioid options, complex case studies and current guidelines. Highlights include time for interaction with faculty, question and answer, as well as practice with roleplaying and interviewing techniques. Educational Objectives: |
