Overview / Abstract: |
Conference Overview: With more than 6,900 urgent care centers or clinics now open in the United States, urgent care clinicians see between 71 and 160 million patient visits each year. As clinicians on the “front lines” of medicine, urgent care clinicians need to proficiently evaluate and care for any patient who walks into an urgent care center or clinic. To respond quickly and definitively in urgent situations, urgent care clinicians also need to enhance their critical-care thinking and decision-making skills. Urgent Care: An Old Concept in the New Millennium will educate clinicians on current best practices for outpatient triage of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries, and complex or unusual conditions. Experts will present practical information via lectures and small-group workshops. Educational Objectives: |
