Overview / Abstract: |
The role of the pharmacist is expanding as the field of asthma therapy management evolves. Massachusetts is among the greatest of states effected by ineffective asthma disease state control, therefore contributing to quality of life limitations, as well as financial expenditures. Inhaler therapy is currently the mainstay of asthma management, however biologic therapy is quickly making a greater presence in treatment options. Additionally, evidence suggests the need for heightened education regarding disease state control. Through this course, individuals will be able to improve their practice and therefore patient outcomes by expanding their knowledge of the evolving realm of asthma therapy management. The course format will allow for interactive learning through the use of case-based problems. Learning Objectives |
