Overview / Abstract:

Target Audience

This program is intended for health care professionals who treat patients with endometriosis. OB/GYNs, primary care physicians, nurses, and physician assistants will be invited to participate in this program.

Program Overview

This video-based program is designed to help health care professionals explore the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis through a unique perspective, putting the patient voice front and center. A patient and their caregiver will share their journey to obtaining a diagnosis and effective treatment. This online activity focuses on the challenges of diagnosing endometriosis, key symptoms in the clinical presentation, and the efficacy and safety of therapies recommended for individualized treatment. xxxx

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

Describe the prevalence and impact on QOL for undiagnosed endometriosis
Utilize a patient-centered approach to the clinical evaluation of endometriosis that encourages thorough discussion of pain symptoms and other QOL issues
Select an individualized plan of care, based on patient preferences and the latest information on medical and surgical therapies, to provides optimal endometriosis pain treatment
Assess the impact of adverse effects on QOL when selecting therapies for endometriosis pain
