A Step Towards Informed Decision Making on Contraception: Resources for Physicians
This initiative is targeted towards healthcare providers in India and will be comprised of two clinician focused activities which consist of video-based faculty panel modules and a text based discussion guide. For this initiative, ACHL is partnering with the Federation of Obstetrics & Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI) and the India Medical Association on the development of these educational materials.
Contraception Discussions for Better Reproductive Health: The Role of Shared Decision Making (Module 1)
Clinical CommentaryThe clinical commentary is a video-based faculty panel discussion that will utilize an open dialogue and a guided discussion format that will be similar in style to a TV news program such as Meet the Press. Watch as Dr. Madhu Aggarwal and Dr. Pratibha Burli, two leading OB-GYNs currently practicing in the United States, discuss contraceptive misconceptions, methods across women's reproductive lifespan, and better shared decision making.

Evaluating the many different modern contraception options currently available to women can be challenging for both clinicians and patients when making informed decisions. Take a look at the clinician discussion guide to learn more about available contraception options and the many choices available, as well as current best practices on how to make appropriate selections at various stages in women’s lives. The guide will include charts, images, a clinical commentary panel video with the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) physicians and an audio clip to reinforce learnings.
