Course Learning Outcomes
After this course, participants will be able to list the concepts and techniques that facilitate effective counseling within the field of communicative disorders.
After this course, participants will be able to implement techniques to manage defense mechanisms of clients and families.
After this course, participants will be able to identify and employ emotional intelligence to facilitate clinical success.
After this course, participants will be able to list conditions under which referral to other professionals is appropriate.

Course Abstract
Participants will be given the opportunity to assess their personal style within the counseling relationship, and conditions under which referral to other professionals is appropriate will be discussed.
