You will learn to see the world from the difficult student’s perspective so that you may begin to build trust and ultimately the foundation for a positive relationship. Discover how to develop behavior management techniques that meet your difficult student’s individual needs. You may discover that helping hard-to-reach students to succeed can be one of the most challenging, and rewarding, experiences of your career.

Teaching Tangibles
Understand when and why a student misbehaves.
Learn how to respond proactively to even the most difficult students in a calm, professional manner.
Explore the theoretical foundations for effectively dealing with students with serious behavioral and/or motivational problems.
Plan strategies for establishing a positive relationship with difficult students and their parents.
Develop an individualized behavior plan to utilize in the classroom with each difficult student.
Appraise techniques for conducting one-to-one problem-solving conferences with difficult students.
