Overview / Abstract:

This course focuses on the foundations of action research. The course explores research as it affects decision-making and educational practices. Students are introduced to the various elements of an action research project, including problem statement and purpose, research design and writing skills, literature review, and action research requirements. Inferential and descriptive measures are examined, and methods for collecting, evaluating, and analyzing data are discussed. Students also identify ethical issues related to research, including basic theory and practice, a professional code of ethics, confidentiality, and research using human subjects.
This graduate-level course is 6 weeks. This course is available to take individually or as part of a degree or certificate program. To enroll, speak with an Enrollment Advisor.
