Component Testing for Food Allergy Diagnosis

Overview / Abstract:

This interactive course outlines the shortcomings of the standard tests currently used to diagnose food allergy and explains the development and potential application of component resolved diagnosis (CRD). It describes, in depth, how CRD can be applied when evaluating potential allergies to plant (peanut and hazelnut) and animal (milk and eggs) products. The course also explains the limitations of CRD and makes suggestions for additional research.
