Light on the Dark Side of the Street: Living Well in a Stress and Trauma world

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

What is stressful about your work? What do you find traumatic in your work? Where are the sources of grief in your life? The answers to these questions do not exist in vacuums, of course, but interact with and influence the others. We often have more wisdom about coping than we apply and the barriers to doing what we know helps are worth considering. It is possible to find light and live well on the dark side of the street where stress, trauma and loss are common, but it’s not easy or automatic. The rewards, however, are worth the effort for those we support…including ourselves.
