Improving Heart Failure Patient Outcomes Utilizing Guideline-Directed Therapy

Overview / Abstract:

This educational activity is accredited for physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses who have expressed a need for educational programming on the pharmacologic management of heart failure.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

-Describe the optimal guideline-based recommendations for the management of heart failure.
-Evaluate the 2016 ACC/AHA/HFSA guideline-recommended novel therapies that are recommended for the treatment of heart failure.
-Identify starting dose and titration strategy for sacubitril/valsartan and ivabradine.
-Develop strategies to optimize medical therapy and improve outcomes for patients with heart failure.
