Overview / Abstract: |
Many clinicians generally see private practice as perhaps something more glamorous than it actually is. Types of private practice service delivery will be discussed such as contracting with facilities, contracting with school districts, working independently or starting a business with other speech-language pathologists. Legal and financial responsibilities will be explained. The participants will be encouraged to create personal goals for clinical experience, along with building “their tool belts” with continuing education and specialty skills to become an optimally successful clinician, equipped for the type of practice they envision for themselves. Other resources available to equip those building a practice will be introduced. |
