This session is designed to aid all educators (including SLPs, PTs, OTs, classroom teachers and more) in understanding what current brain research reveals regarding the learning process. It examines and compares current educational practice with neuroscience findings, and it promotes development of methodologies and curriculum that incorporates holistic principles for learning in all disciplines and situations. Specific issues addressed include: connectivity from physiological, anatomical and psychosocial perspective; a repeated pattern of organization that is evidenced from microscopic to macroscopic levels throughout brain/body; a brain-friendly model for learning and teaching; and stress management and resilience. |
