Opioid Prescription Principles

Overview / Abstract:

Improving the way opioids are prescribed through clinical practice guidelines can ensure patients have access to safer, more effective chronic pain treatment while reducing the number of people who misuse, abuse, or overdose from these drugs.

Target audience:

Course is designed for physicians, nurses, physician assistants and others—who prescribe opioid medications and who care for patients receiving opioid medications. This course is also relevant for primary care providers who maintain patients on chronic opioid therapy.
