Overview / Abstract: |
Despite the availability of guidelines for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) management and new effective treatments, wide variabilities in care still exist. These variations are due, in part, to the difficulties of making a differential diagnosis of IPF and the challenges of developing and implementing cross-functional multidisciplinary team initiatives. In order to improve health outcomes for patients with IPF, Current Evidence-based Management of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis: Collaborating To Improve Patient Care will review current evidence-based IPF diagnosis and treatment approaches, strategies for providing effective multidisciplinary care in IPF management, ensuring timely referrals to interstitial lung disease (ILD) centers, and shared decision-making with patients. |
