Dietary Supplements: What the NIH and Other Experts Have to Say

At the conclusion of this session, the participant will be able to:

Describe consumer trends in use of dietary supplements.
Discuss top dietary supplements in the U.S. including the evidence-basis for their use.
Describe problems with herb and dietary supplement products and strategies to assist patients in the safe use of these products.
Identify quality sources of evidence-based information about dietary supplements and their indications
Discuss hot topics in supplement use including probiotics and weight loss products.
