Overview / Abstract: |
This patient simulation involves an adult male who had a severe reaction to a flying hymenoptera sting. Based on the clinical history and test results, the learner will choose the best way to treat the patient with immunotherapy. The learner will answer specific questions that explain the immunotherapy treatment, including risks, intervals, duration, and possibility of relapse to the patient. The learner will receive feedback for each decision that is made, and numerous references that discuss best practices for using allergen immunotherapy will be provided. |
