Virtual Patient: Prescribing and Adjusting Doses for Effective AIT Treatment

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

In this simulation, you will see a patient who hopes immunotherapy may treat her long-standing allergy symptoms. You will be asked to provide thorough explanations of different AIT options and their risks and then write an accurate prescription based on the diagnostic tests you have run. You will monitor her progress over a period of time and make adjustments to her immunotherapy doses as needed. Just like in your clinic, you will want to make the correct decisions so that the treatments you initiate help your patient to reach and maintain an optimum quality of life. A mentor will provide feedback throughout the simulation.
