The behavioral health care landscape is evolving and healthcare professionals are becoming more aware of the need to improve patient care and adherence to treatment. This activity examines the prevalence of major depressive disorder and the diversity of treatment options. The role played by accountable care organizations in helping to enhance the quality of life of patients experiencing this condition will also be highlighted.
