Learning Objectives | At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant will be able to: Describe how the acquisition of tomosynthesis images differs from the acquisition of conventional digital mammography images Describe strategies for systematic review of tomosynthesis imaging data sets Describe approaches for evaluation of masses, calcifications and architectural distortion seen on tomosynthesis imaging Describe approaches for evaluation summation artifacts seen on digital mammography using tomosynthesis imaging Discuss principles for incorporating a synthesized mammogram derived from the processed tomosynthesis data set into mammographic interpretation workflow and describe relative strengths and weaknesses of the synthesized mammogram compared with the digitally acquired mammogram |
