Respiratory Conditions Update

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

Conference Overview:
Large gaps between evidence-based care and actual clinical practice exist in respiratory medicine, and carry a significant health burden. As a patient’s first point of contact in the healthcare system, primary care clinicians need to be able to identify the problem, initiate therapy, monitor treatment and know when to refer the patient to a specialist.
This conference, Respiratory Conditions Update, will educate clinicians on current best practices in respiratory medicine. Experts in the field will present practical information via lectures, small group workshops, panel discussions and case studies. Presentations will include up-to-date information on asthma and allergy, pulmonary and ENT conditions.

Educational Objectives:
Following this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Manage common respiratory conditions including asthma, allergy, COPD, sleep apnea, chronic cough and sinusitis
- Apply new diagnostic and treatment options in respiratory medicine
- Determine which tests and medications are appropriate and when to consult a specialist
