Overview / Abstract:

Motivational Interviewing is an evidence-based communication style that is focused on identifying ambivalence and guiding a patient toward positive change. It is an effective communication strategy that healthcare providers can utilize in their efforts to promote positive health outcomes for their patients. There is currently a gap in MI trainings focused in on pharmacy students and providers.
