Journal clubs have long been used to teach critical evaluation of the literature, keep practitioners up-to-date, and improve clinical practice. However, journal clubs can suffer from a lack of focus and poorly defined goals, failure to discuss the clinical application of the articles, and lengthy presentations and discussions.
