We, in the correctional community, have a critical part to play in shaping health care delivery and advocating for our patients. This is especially pertinent to HCV care, in which significant gaps in testing, treatment, prevention, and education persist—both behind bars and upon community reentry. Across the corrections-based HCV-care continuum, providers are faced not only with challenges, but also with opportunities and options.
