Webinar: Oh Sugar! Managing Diabetes Mellitus in Small Animal Patients

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

Diabetic pharmaceutical care extends beyond the human species. Pharmacists often provide care for both diabetic humans and animals living in the same household.  This presentation will compare and contrast diabetes mellitus management in dogs and cats and delineate differences from management of diabetes in humans. Specific insulins, monitoring techniques, devices, and management apps will be described allowing the veterinary pharmacist to expand professional services and inventory to accommodate diabetic animal patients.
