Visually Induced Trigeminal Dysphoria: A Potential Leading Source of Headaches, Eyestrain, and Dry Eye Sensation

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

Trigeminal dysphoria is a term that describes a variety of symptoms including headaches, eyestrain, dry eye sensation, neck, and shoulder pain. New research suggests that computer vision syndrome, also called digital eye strain, is a form of visually induced trigeminal dysphoria. Clinicians who treat patients with these symptoms must be aware and understand why patients with trigeminal dysphoria are symptomatic and how to treat it. This journal supplement addresses these topics.
