Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

Target Audience

This activity is intended for gastroenterologists, infectious disease specialists, and other clinicians who care for patients at risk of serious infection.

Program Overview

In this activity, Dr. Paul Feuerstadt and Dr. Sahil Khanna discuss how the global COVID-19 pandemic presents increasing safety measures for patients with recurrent Clostridioides difficile Infection (rCDI) that are candidates for fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT). In this video-based format, our faculty share why clinicians need to be aware of screening and safety protocols, and how to manage rDCI patients during this unprecedented time.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Discuss the burden of recurrent C. difficile
Review the efficacy and safety of current approaches to using fecal microbiota for transplantation
