Overview / Abstract:

This course is designed to provide frontline pharmacists with information to assess patients’ need for point of care tests, determine the appropriate test to administer, and collect nasal and throat specimens to determine the presence of Strep A, influenza, or COVID-19. Additional resources accompany this course, including guidance for blood pressure measurement, reusable form templates for gathering and documenting patient information, and a printable guide summarizing symptoms, testing criteria, and treatment recommendations.
