Target Audience

This online educational activity is directed toward neurologists, primary care physicians, physician assistants, and nurses specializing in neurologic disorders.

Program Overview

This online educational activity is designed to provide expert interpretation of new and emerging data on the treatment of Alzheimer disease (AD), with a forward-looking perspective on how new and novel agents might impact clinical practice. The epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, emerging biomarkers, current and emerging treatment strategies, and multidisciplinary approach to AD management will be presented in a multimedia format, including a series of video interviews with expert thought leaders integrated into text-based learning elements.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:

Differentiate neurodegenerative changes that are considered the hallmarks of AD compared with other neurodegenerative disorders
Integrate screening and diagnostic protocols into clinical practice to ensure differential diagnosis and early detection of AD
Analyze key data on new and emerging treatment options for AD to properly educate patients and caregivers
Implement team-based strategies to improve coordination of care for patients with AD
