Overview / Abstract:	Target Audience This activity is intended for health care providers in the care of patients with COVID-19. Program Overview In this program, Dr. Auwaerter discusses the basics of our understanding of COVID-19. Learning Objectives After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to: Discuss epidemiological data pertaining to COVID-19. Identify the most prevalent risk factors for increased disease severity. Describe the implications of diagnostic and antibody testing challenges. Evaluate current supportive and targeted treatments and those in development for COVID-19. Describe experimental vaccines and the vaccine development process for COVID-19.
