Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) have recently become one of the top post-procedure pain management recommendations, and in most cases, a suitable replacement to the use of opioids. Unfortunately, myths about NSAIDs inhibiting bone healing and increasing fracture risks are prevalent, despite the lack of clinical evidence that NSAIDs impair healing. The third episode of this CMEOCast series focuses on busting these myths about NSAIDs and bone health by applying evidence and guideline recommendations that support non-opioid pain management in treatment decision-making.
