Throughout pharmacy, there have been gaps identified in the sensitivity training and literature available to pharmacy caregivers. The first half of this presentation will first provide cultural awareness and sensitivity training to improve interactions with this diverse patient population. The second half will provide education on transgender drug therapies, associated risk factors and monitoring to best serve this patient population.

Pharmacist Objectives:
- Distinguish between sensitive and insensitive interactions with transgender patients
- Assess drug therapies unique to transgender patient populations
- Analyze risk factors and recommend monitoring associated with hormone replacement therapy in transgender patients
- Identify preventative care opportunities in the transgender population

Technician Objectives:
- Distinguish between sensitive and insensitive interactions with transgender patients
