Overview / Abstract: |
Target Audience This activity is intended for primary care providers who are involved in the care of patients with, or at risk for, coronary artery disease. Program Overview Join Rush University Medical Center physicians, Rupa Sanghani, MD, and Lisa Ravindra, MD, for a video-based discussion on real-world strategies to determine when to use radionuclide myocardial perfusion imaging (rMPI) and how to best comply to appropriate use criteria (AUC) mandates. The purpose of this activity is to increase clinician awareness on AUC mandates to mitigate unnecessary costs while providing appropriate care within a multidisciplinary team. This activity will feature a review of AUCs in relation to the reimbursement implications as well as expert guidance on available agents for rMPI and recommendations on when to order PET and SPECT scans. Learning Objectives Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: Review CMS PAMA requirements for advanced imaging and outline implications for PCPs ordering radionuclide MPIs |
