Overview / Abstract:

This webinar will help introduce pharmacists and technicians to basic words, phrases, and concepts to help provide more culturally and linguistically appropriate care for the Spanish-speaking patient population. This webinar is designed for participants with little to no Spanish language experience, but participants of all levels of Spanish language experience are welcome to participate.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe culturally appropriate communication strategies and various cultural notes relevant to caring for Spanish-speaking patients
2. Practice correct pronunciation of Spanish words
3. Recite basic greeting and farewell phrases in Spanish
4. List key resources to help utilize Spanish in the community pharmacy setting
