Target Audience This online educational activity is directed towards gastroenterologists, primary care providers, obstetricians/gynecologists, hematologists, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses. Additional health care clinicians involved in the management of IDA in patients with IBD will also be invited to participate. Program Overview This online educational activity is designed to provide expert interpretation of current and emerging data on the diagnosis and treatment of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). New guideline recommendations, diagnostic considerations, and therapeutic options are presented in a series of videos featuring 2 expert physicians conversing about the nuances of IDA/IBD and various clinical scenarios. Learning Objectives Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to: Discuss the pathophysiology, etiology, and burden of IDA in patients with concomitant IBD |
