Essentials Emergency and Urgent Care Procedures Workshop

Overview / Abstract:

This program uses a case-based approach to equip participants with the practical skills and knowledge needed to perform fundamental, office-based procedures safely and efficiently. Through realistic scenarios, participants will explore a range of essential procedural skills, including:
Basic emergency ENT techniques
Management of simple dental trauma
Treatment of finger injuries
Anesthesia administration
Soft tissue infection management
Incision and drainage procedures
Proper orthopedic and soft tissue immobilization
Selection of appropriate antibiotic therapies
Each case will guide participants through clinical decision-making and hands-on techniques, emphasizing both patient care and the opportunity to increase practice efficiency and Relative Value Units (RVUs)*. This engaging program ensures participants gain the confidence and expertise to enhance patient outcomes while adding value to their practice.

*Relative Value Units (RVUs) are a measure of value used in the United States Medicare reimbursement formula for physician services, forming a part of the resource-based relative value scale (RBRVS).
