Target Audience This activity has been designed to address the educational needs of academic and community-based pulmonologists, radiologists, and pathologists. It may also benefit primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, pharmacists, nurses, residents, fellows, rheumatologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Program Overview COVID-19 imposes a high burden on patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), who are at increased risk for complications and mortality. Using an interactive case study, interstitial lung disease expert Dr Lisa H. Lancaster will navigate the challenges of distinguishing signs and symptoms of COVID-19 from IPF exacerbations, adverse events of IPF medications, and other potential conditions. In addition, Dr Lancaster will share evidence-based strategies for COVID-19 treatment and prevention, and credible, web-based COVID-19 resources that are specific to patients with IPF will be provided.
