Overview / Abstract:

Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, registered nurses and other healthcare professionals who specialize or have an interest in multiple sclerosis, neurology, pediatrics and internal medicine.

Program Overview
This interactive case-based activity requires clinicians to make real-world decisions as they optimize diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for adolescents with suspected multiple sclerosis. Throughout the activity practitioners will have the opportunity to immediately implement expert guidance and evaluate performance while addressing challenging questions about the latest clinical data and evidence-based recommendations.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Evaluate and integrate the latest clinical evidence and guidance surrounding the use of newly approved and investigational DMTs in MS patients under the age of 18 when tailoring and monitoring regimens for adolescents
Describe the common symptoms of cognitive decline and recommend appropriate next steps for determining accurate diagnosis and management
Apply patient-centered approaches to identifying and addressing nonadherence in adolescent patients with MS
