This course familiarizes physicians with current guidelines for opioid prescribing, including the management ofg acute and chronic back pain, how to assess the functional effects of pain in patients, and how to utilize a range of therapeutic options when managing patients with chronic pain. Outcome Objectives: As a result of completing this activity, the participant will be better able to: - Manage acute and chronic back pain. |

Thomas Elliott, MD Dr. Elliott is certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology/Medical Oncology, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
