Target Audience This activity has been designed to address the educational needs of cardiologists, hospitalists, interventional cardiologists, internists, primary care physicians (PCPs), clinical pharmacists, hematologists, and other clinicians who are involved or interested in the medical management of patients with venous thromboembolism (VTE) and/or at risk for VTE. Program Overview In the context of a case involving COVID-19, faculty discuss VTE risk assessment using validated risk assessment tools, along with thromboprophylaxis strategies during the inpatient and post-discharge periods.
