Overview / Abstract:

Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of pulmonologists, infectious disease specialists, primary care providers, respiratory nurses/nurse practitioners/physician assistants, and other health care providers who may be involved in the management of patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease.

Program Overview
This educational module focuses on nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease, its diagnosis, treatment, and patient management. An expert panel discussion, animations, and a patient’s story are highlighted within this education. This EXPLORE module has highly interactive and engaging online content, designed to allow learners to choose their own learning course.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Describe patient risk factors, underlying conditions, and approaches to reduce time to diagnosis
Develop individualized treatment goals based on patient factors
Discuss management of adverse events, adherence, and how to reach treatment completion
Review strategies to improve treatment efficacy and decrease toxicity
